I am so glad that Belinda and Gustavo found me via A Practical Wedding. They were indeed planning a very practical small wedding at a park, and didn’t think they’d need an engagement session. But then they mentioned something that I thought was so cool: their mutual love of bows and arrows. I had a promotion running with A Practical Wedding where I was giving away a free engagement session, and I was all too happy to offer it to them. We met up at Woodley Park Archery Range, started taking photos on the practice range, and quickly realized we should move it into the woods (those arrows are no joke!!). And then, a happy coincidence: the light at golden hour peeking through the leaves in this little wooded area made my heart sing.
Belinda and Gustavo actually met at this archery range, and it’s a hobby they’ve continued to enjoy together ever since. “So it’s like you were struck by Cupid’s arrow?” I joked, and they looked at me, wide-eyed — “We never even thought of that!” they said. They were just so into each other, they never even noticed.
