Jordan is a wildly intelligent and bold woman, and I was thrilled as punch when she asked me to fly out to shoot her wedding in Florida. I could feel the magic in the air as soon as I stepped off the plane, just before dawn broke, and heard a huge chorus of birds and insects singing together in the darkness. As the sun rose on their venue, Sundy House, I could see all the details of her wedding emerge: oranges, magnolia blossoms, palm trees, fairy lights, shiny silver piercings, sharp pink nails. Sundy House is overflowing with lush greenery, and Jordan, with her long white satin dress, looked like a magnolia blossom herself, blooming and radiant on her wedding day. Her husband Paul, in his crisp blue suit, was nervous but happy, beaming from ear to ear every time Jordan was around him. This was my last trip of 2020, and I’m so glad it was spent on this magical day in this Florida oasis.
